Why volunteer with SEND?

Your role at our events
Our volunteers are at the heart of every SEND event, helping to create a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Volunteer roles may include:
- Welcoming and signing in families.
- Supporting activity and craft areas.
- Assisting with refreshments.
- Helping with event set-up and pack-down.
- Supporting raffle and fundraising activities.
- Providing directions and answering questions.
- Helping families feel comfortable throughout the event.
- Showing VIP guests around the events
No previous experience is necessary—just a friendly attitude, enthusiasm and a passion for supporting neurodiverse children, young people and their families. We'll provide guidance and support to help you feel confident in your role.

We're looking for friendly, compassionate and reliable people who are passionate about making a positive difference. You don't need any previous experience—just a willingness to help, a positive attitude and respect for every individual's needs. Great SEND volunteers are patient, approachable, good team players and committed to helping create welcoming, inclusive events where everyone feels valued and supported.
